TAILGATE Clothing Co., established in 1997, re-creates a forgotten era of timeless collegiate sportswear and vintage styles with updated fits and washes. Their mission is to create the perfect soft, old worn-in and weathered apparel that everyone wants to wear. After years of working at J. Crew & Polo Ralph Lauren, they recognized a need for a better brand of collegiate sportswear - something "old school". TAILGATE was established to fill that need. They began with TAILGATE Black Label, five schools and a staff of one. In 1998 we introduced a vintage-inspired line, TAILGATE White Label, which quickly became a favorite of celebrities, stylists, and wardrobe departments. With increasing exposure in the market, their products began appearing in magazines, movies, music videos, and on television shows.
