On January 17th, 2003, two young men were killed in a tragic automobile accident in Corona, CA. Before the accident, they both made contributions towards an upstart clothing line, un-named at the time. The two remaining partners took those contributions and added them to their own. The resulting investment amounted to $9.000. Thus the name, 9GRAND.
