Martha Cooper is a documentary photographer who has specialized in documenting urban vernacular art and architectural for over thirty years. Martha played and integral part in the rising movement of the Hip Hop scene that emerged from the Bronx, and is considered by many a maverick. Her work has been widely exhibited in museums and galleries in numerous magazines from National Geographic to Vibe and is currently the Director of Photography at City Lore, the New York Center for Urban Folk Culture.
